How can coaches deal with ethical dilemmas in their coaching practice?

Coaches often encounter real-life
ethical dilemmas, such as ensuring fairness, handling team selection, and
managing the pressure to win. Through interactive case studies and group
discussions, coaches will learn practical strategies to navigate these challenges
with integrity. The workshop aims to equip participants with actionable
insights that can be immediately applied in their coaching practice, fostering
an ethical approach to decision-making.
Alvin is a seasoned sports educator and
coach with close to a decade of teaching experience in tertiary institutions.
He is currently a lecturer at Republic Polytechnic, where he designs and
delivers coaching modules that equip future sport professionals with the
skills, knowledge, and values needed to thrive in the field. Alvin holds a
Master of Education in Educational Assessment and a Bachelor of Sports and
Physical Education. He is an NROC Coach in Dragon Boat and Fundamental Movement
Skills, and National Registry of Exercise Professionals (NREP)-registered
Strength and Conditioning Coach. His certifications also include ASCA Level 1,
ACE Personal Trainer, and Group Fitness Exercise Instructor. As a combined
university coach, Alvin led the university teams in two editions of the ASEAN
University Games, achieving podium finishes across various Dragon Boat
categories. He also helped craft the Level 1 Integration Coaching Curriculum
the Singapore Dragon Boat Association (SDBA). Alvin is also an experienced
trainer for SG-Coach Level 1 and 2 courses at Republic Polytechnic, where he
combines academic rigor with real-world coaching insight to create impactful
learning experiences.

- Please
register first before attending this workshop. NROC coaches who attend
this workshop without registering first will not be able to receive their
CCE hours e-certificate, which is a requirement to claim CCE hours for
attending this workshop
