Specialist Coach
The Specialist Coach is a high-performing expert in specific domains such as community sport, para-sport, or high-performance sport. They excel at coaching both individuals and teams across multiple seasons or extended timeframes, while often leading and supporting other coaches. These professionals skillfully manage high levels of complexity within the coaching ecosystem, including socio-political issues, stakeholder relationships, and multi-season program demands. Beyond their domain expertise, Specialist Coaches actively pursue continued professional development and stay current with coaching thought leadership.
Prerequisites
SG-Coach Level 3
- SG-Coach Theory Level 3
- SG-Coach Technical Level 3*

- National Head Coach
- Technical Director
- Head of Academy
If you have substantial coaching experience and relevant qualifications, you may be eligible to apply for direct accreditation through Recognition of Prior Learning or Recognition of Prior Experience.
