What is the Continuing Coach Education (CCE) Programme?
The Continuing Coach Education (CCE) programme gives coaches the platform to gradually upgrade themselves in their area of coaching. Sport Singapore believes coaches can deliver higher standards of coaching as they become more proficient and knowledgeable.
What are the modifications to the CCE hours requirement about?
Self-Guided CCE hours are now included as part of the CCE programme. Coaches can fulfill certain CCE hours through self-guided learning and reflection. Reflection examples and templates are available on the CCE webpage.
Why is there a revision to the CCE hours requirements?
This modification was made through consultation with coaches and the Sports Coaches Association of Singapore (SCA). It encourages self-directed learning, adds flexibility, and supports critical self-reflection for continued coach development.
What are the NROC Level requirements for coaches?
NROC Level Requirements:
- Level 1 (Coach): 15 Coaching Practice Hours, 12 Coaching Education Hours, max 3 Self-Guided CCE Hours.
- Level 2 (Senior Coach): 36 Practice Hours, 12 Education Hours, max 12 Self-Guided CCE Hours.

You may use the following Self-Guided CCE templates to reflect upon and record learning from your day-to-day coaching practices.
Self-Guided CCE Templates:
Self-Guided CCE Examples:
How do I submit the completed reflection?
Log in to SportSync using your SingPass and upload your reflection as Proof of Attendance under CCE Education.
How many hours can I clock for each submission of reflection?
You can only clock 1 hour per completed reflection, with a maximum of 3 hours / 3 reflections.
Do National Sports Associations (NSAs) have their own CCE requirements for NROC renewal?
National Sports Associations (NSAs) may also develop their own sport-specific CCE system. To be eligible for NROC membership renewal, coaches of these NSAs must also meet the requirement set by their NSAs, in addition to fulfilling the registry’s existing criteria for renewal. Sport Singapore and the respective NSAs will be responsible for reviewing the e-Log Book and the renewal application.
How can I determine if a course qualifies as a CCE activity for NROC renewal?
We may request for coaches to furnish information related to the course content and articulate its application to their coaching practice for us to evaluate its suitability as a CCE activity. Before taking the course, we would strongly encourage coaches to submit the course information to us, so that we would be able to advise whether the course can be considered as a CCE activity.
How to access and input CCE records in Coaching e-Log
Upon completing a coaching or CCE activity, submit details under the Coaching Education / Practice section within your e-Logbook in your SportSync account.
Upload proof of attendance such as:
- Email verification of attendance
- Obtain an image of the signature of the coordinator and / or official stamp of the organising body
Coaches should submit the completed e-Log Book together with NROC membership renewal at least three months prior to their membership expiry date.
