What is Singapore Coach Medallion
Instituted in 2019, the Singapore Coach Medallion (SCM) celebrates inspiring sport coaches who are role models whose contributions, commitment and pursuit of excellence have made a significant, sustained positive impact on the Singapore Sporting Ecosystem as well as the lives of Singaporeans through Sport.
Eligibility
Must be a current NROC coach- Has at least 5 years of coaching experience
- Has been coaching actively in the past 1 year at any level (schools, community, high performance)
Do note that past SCM Recipients will not be eligible.
Nomination Criteria
Impact
Has made a significant, sustained, and positive impact on athletes, teams, organisations or the sport- Supported by testimonials, articles, letters, and evidence of achievements
Professional Knowledge and Application
- Implements effective, engaging coaching methods for diverse learners
- Creates an environment that enhances learning and performance
Interpersonal Relations and Skills
- Builds a positive, supportive culture based on trust and rapport
- Has strong engagement with stakeholders and employers
- Actively contributes to the growth of the sport or coaching community
Intrapersonal Awareness
- Regularly reflects and seeks feedback
- Proactively engages in learning opportunities for self-development
Holistic Development
- Helps learners develop holistically in competency, confidence, connection, and character
