Isometric training is characterized by the generation of force without external movement. This method of training has been gaining in popularity in recent years, partly due to the multiple studies on its effect on athletic performance conducted by our strength and conditioning team.
This workshop will involve brief discussion on the adaptations to isometric training that can lead to enhanced athletic performance, and how isometric training can be prescribed specifically for jumpers, runners and sprinters.
