This workshop provides coaches with practical, budget-friendly recovery strategies across sleep, nutrition, and physical protocols to optimise athlete performance and reduce injury risk.

 

Ferdinand Chua is a Sports Science Lecturer at Republic Polytechnic. He holds a degree in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Queensland and is a trained Exercise Physiologist. Ferdinand previously worked at Changi General Hospital, where he supported patients in chronic disease management and rehabilitation through evidence-based exercise interventions. He has also been involved in sports rehabilitation for national athletes at the Singapore Sports Institute, contributing to their return-to-play and performance optimization programs. In addition, Ferdinand has worked with professional football teams in both Australia and Singapore, blending clinical practice with high-performance sport. His key interests lie in exercise physiology and sports rehabilitation, with a focus on optimizing physical function, recovery, and athletic performance.
